ESG & Regulation

The EU has been making strides in ESG in recent years. With initiatives like the European Green Deal and 'Fit for 55', the EU has set itself the goal of complying with the Paris climate agreement (maximum 1.5 degrees of global warming) and achieving a 55% CO2 reduction for the entire EU by 2030.

Legislative and regulatory issues are also evolving. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is considered the starting point for many ESG laws and regulations. It stems from European initiatives and includes important ESG reporting requirements.

But it is not only the CSRD that brings with it new obligations, as many new legislative obligations are also coming in the areas of greenwashing, due diligence, compliance, retail, employment, etc. Through this page, we will keep you updated on ESG laws and regulations.
