Martijn van Steensel

Deputy civil-law notary | Partner

Martijn van Steensel has worked as a deputy civil-law notary in the Notarial Practice since February 2018 and as a partner at Van Benthem & Keulen since January 2019.

Martijn has a special interest in foundations in all their different forms. Because of this, a significant part of his practice consists of providing advice concerning, and the configuration of, foundations, in particular in relation to the certification of family assets. This is also a topic about which he frequently publishes and teaches, with great enthusiasm.

Martijn also has extensive experience in civil-law notary practice for medium and large-scale enterprises.

In 2008, Martijn started out as a deputy civil-law notary at Loyens & Loeff in Rotterdam. His work initially focused on the interface between corporate law and private and family law, but since 2010 he has concentrated on corporate law in the broadest sense.
