Marita Copier joined Van Benthem & Keulen as a lawyer in the Procurement Law practice group in March 2023.

What distinguishes Marita as a lawyer is that before she was sworn in as a lawyer in 2021, she worked as a procurement legal expert for a contracting authority. She has experience in supervising procurement procedures, which allows her to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

About Marita Copier

Marita studied law at the VU University Amsterdam, from which she graduated in 2019 with a master's degree in Private Law. Her master's thesis on tenderers' obligation to complain in procurement procedures was awarded the thesis prize from the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (NVvA) and
a Private Law thesis prize from the Institute for Construction Law (IBR). The thesis has since been published in book form by the Institute of Construction Law as part of the IBR Thesis Series (ISBN 978-94-6315-053-8).

Marita is a member of the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (NVvA).
