Postponement announced for the implementation of the Pay Transparency Directive
The proposed timetable for the timely implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive appears turns out to be unfeasible for the government. The target date for of the entry into force of the billbill has therefore been postponed. The Directive will be implemented by 1 January 2027 at the latest, instead of 7 June 2026. The plan intention is to send submit the bill to the Council of State before the end of this year, so that it can be further discussedenabling further discussion in 2026.
What are the consequences of the postponement forfor employersthe employers' reporting obligations?
The postponement also has consequences for the starting date of the reporting obligation for employers. Employers with 150 or more employees will be required to submit their first report have to report for the first time for the calendar year 2027. The date on whichreporting deadline for other employers subject to the reporting obligation (with 100 to 150 employees) must report will be determined in accordance with the Directive, i.e. no later than 7 June 2031.
