Pro Bono: making an impact together

Since 2018, we have partnered with Pro Bono Connect, a platform that connects social organisations and law firms around legal issues with a social or human rights impact. 

We see it as part of our responsibility to use our expertise where it matters most. By supporting organisations that do not always have access to legal advice, we help improve access to justice in a meaningful and practical way.

Partnership with Dotslash Utrecht

Collaboration with Utrecht University

Our long-standing collaboration with Utrecht University connects education and practice. Together, we invest in knowledge development and the next generation of legal professionals.

Utrecht Law Clinic

Together with Utrecht University, we established the Utrecht Law Clinic. Here, law students work alongside start-ups and scale-ups in the Utrecht region.

The collaboration creates value on both sides:

• Students gain hands-on experience
• Entrepreneurs receive clear, practical legal advice and litigation support
• Always under the guidance of university lecturers and our own experts

GCN

VBK has been a partner of General Counsel Netherlands (GCN) for over eight years. GCN is the modern professional association and creative knowledge network for general counsel in the Netherlands. It is the platform where general counsel from a wide range of organisations meet, exchange ideas and support one another.

As a partner of GCN, VBK actively contributes to the platform by sharing valuable insights, additional research, expertise and practical tools with its members.

Franchise+

Since 2024, VBK has been the legal partner of Franchise+. In this role, we advise and support both franchisees and franchisors on their legal matters. We also actively share our knowledge and experience within the Franchise+ network, including in the areas of contract law, Tech & Data, tenancy law and employment law.

Talent Empowerment

Since 2024, VBK has been a partner of Talent Empowerment. Talent Empowerment enables top talent in elite sports, music, culture and business to realise their full potential. Through our membership of Club Talent Empowerment, we contribute to the development of these high-potential individuals.

Talent Empowerment also adds value to our organisation. They regularly contribute to our internal events, such as our D&I programme and our annual padel tournament. In this way, we create impact together that goes beyond support alone.
