Van Benthem & Keulen provided legal advice to Emil Frey on the acquisition of the Van Nieuwkerk automotive centre. The acquisition includes the branches in Amsterdam, Alphen aan den Rijn and Hilversum.

Van Nieuwkerk is a dealer for Mazda and Honda and, more recently, also for Omoda & Jaecoo. The company was founded in 1967 and is a true family business, led by the third generation of the Van Nieuwkerk family. Van Nieuwkerk will continue to operate as an independent company within Emil Frey.

The acquisition takes effect retroactively from 1 January 2026.
