Van Benthem & Keulen has won the prestigious Computable Award for the second time with the Litigation Valuator. The Litigation Valuator has been voted “Best IT Project in SME Sector in 2018”.

Marcel Ruygvoorn, partner lawyer at Van Benthem & Keulen and creator of the Litigation Valuator: “We are proud to have won this great IT award. It all started two years ago. We saw an increasing need in the market for transparency in litigation. Both company lawyers and entrepreneurs wanted to get rid of the financial ‘black box’. Do I have to litigate or not and does the financial interest outweigh the lawyer’s fees? The Litigation Valuator puts an end to this ‘black box’. It’s great that we have now received recognition for this through this award!”

The winners of the Computable Awards were announced during a spectacular award show at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. In a packed room filled with IT experts, Van Benthem & Keulen won the most important IT award in the Netherlands. This outcome was the result of the vote of an expert jury and a public vote, which each accounting for half of the final score. Van Benthem & Keulen got the highest score in the category with an average score of 26.38%.

Managing director Johan Koggink: “We are very honoured and proud as a firm to again receive the Computable Award. It gives us confirmation that we are on the right track. We don’t just talk about Legal Tech, we let Legal Tech work for our clients. With the VBK Transition App, launched two years ago, we took the first step. We were rewarded for this with the Computable Award. Now we have once again won the Computable Award thanks to the Litigation Valuator.”

The Litigation Valuator is a web application and tool that enables Van Benthem & Keulen to give its clients prior insight into the process and the price of civil proceedings in case of a business dispute.

We do not want to cling to traditional methods of working, because the market demands innovation. We keep up with the times and invest in the future. We want to offer top quality to our clients. That starts with listening carefully to their wishes and also looking into what Legal Tech can do in this respect. And through this award, we have now been rewarded for this with by the IT world, and more importantly, by our clients. Because Van Benthem & Keulen wants to offer its clients the quality and expertise you may and should expect from a top law firm.
