Biography
Chloë Verschoor has been working as a lawyer and counsel at VBK within the Tech & Data team since October 2026, specialising in data protection and data regulation. Before joining VBK, Chloë worked for over 10 years as a lawyer at firms including Bird & Bird and A&O Shearman. She also spent a year working as a GDPR project manager at Surfnet.
Chloë advises on the full spectrum of issues relating to data protection and (e)privacy. She has built up expertise in broader data regulation issues, including EU and Dutch cybersecurity legislation (NIS2 and the Cybersecurity Act), the Digital Services Act (DSA), the AI Act, the Data Act and the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
Chloë has advised a wide range of Dutch and international clients on compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), enforcement by supervisory authorities and other strategic data protection issues, such as Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs) and international data transfers. The organisations she works for include EU institutions and government bodies, as well as companies in the Life Sciences & Healthcare, Technology & Communications, Energy, Manufacturing and Retail sectors.
As a lawyer, Chloë has been seconded on several occasions to various organisations, ranging from a major Dutch telecommunications provider and a multinational pharmaceutical company to a leading manufacturer of medical devices and a global technology and social media platform. During these secondments, she worked closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and specialist legal privacy teams on all matters relating to privacy and data protection.

About Chloë
In addition to her advisory work, Chloë has helped organise various networking events and round-table discussions on topics such as GDPR compliance, cybersecurity legislation and emerging regulatory frameworks for data, such as the EHDS and the AI Act. She has also published articles on data protection and related regulations.
Alongside her work as a lawyer, Chloë has been actively involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and with Lawyers for Lawyers (L4L), an organisation dedicated to protecting lawyers worldwide whose rights are under threat.
Chloë is a member of the Dutch Privacy Law Association (VPR).
