Laurien Berghuis-Knijff has worked as a lawyer since 2000 and as a partner at Van Benthem & Keulen since July 2020. Laurien leads the Family and Inheritance Law practice group.
Since 2006 she has also worked as a divorce mediator. She often acts in international divorce cases and specialises in inheritance law.
What distinguishes Laurien as a lawyer is that she has a constructive, practical and future-oriented approach. In most cases she reaches a settlement, but if a case goes to court, she strives to achieve the maximum possible result.

About Laurien Berghuis-Knijff
Laurien is a member of the Association of Family and Inheritance Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS), the MfN, the Association for Collaborative Divorce Holland and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Laurien is also a deputy judge at the Family division of the District Court of Rotterdam.
Laurien acts as a peer supervision (Intervision) moderator and is listed in the Peer Supervision Moderators Register (Register gespreksleiders Intervisie) of the Dutch Bar Association.
