Van Benthem & Keulen Lawyers and Notaries appoints two new salaried partners with effect from 1 July 2020
Laurien Berghuis-Knijff (1975) has been appointed as a salaried partner with effect from 1 July 2020. Laurien has been with Van Benthem & Keulen since 2000 and is part of the Family and Inheritance Law practice group, with a special interest in international divorce cases and inheritance law. She is a lawyer as well as a divorce mediator. In addition, Laurien is a board member of the Dutch Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS) and deputy judge at the District Court of Rotterdam.
Danielle Martens-Schutten (1984) has been appointed as a salaried partner with effect from 1 July 2020. Danielle has been with Van Benthem & Keulen since 2007 and is part of the Banking & Finance team. Danielle specialises in financial law and advises both national and international companies about the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wft) and the Dutch Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (Wwft). She also assists market participants in structuring investment vehicles and issuing securities. Danielle is a member of the Dutch Financial Law Association (Vereniging voor Financieel Recht).
