Lierop-Snuif, Elseline

Elseline van Lierop-Snuif is a University of Groningen graduate and joined Van Benthem & Keulen’s Family Law department in 2003. Her main field of practice is the provision of advice or litigation in divorce matters with alimony, property settlements and provisions for children being part of her remit. When acting on behalf of a client at the first instance she will try to arrange a face-to-face meeting with the opposing attorney in order to reach a settlement through mutual consultation. She keeps her clients fully informed, so that if the matter goes to court, they will not experience any surprises. As part of her practice she also covers maintenance adjustments; issues regarding statutory liability; custody matters and the alteration of visitation rights; guardianship/administration and adoption. Elseline is frequently specially appointed by the court to act as a guardian and often advises the court in relation to Inheritance questions. In 2009 Elseline is taken specialist courses in mediation, which are run by the Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS).
