Walter Engelhart

Walter Engelhart has worked for Van Benthem & Keulen since 1999. He began in the Corporate Law department, where he swiftly became a specialist in European Procurement Law and an expert in Contract Law. He currently heads the Competition Law and Procurement Law department. He advises on various types of activity and often acts on behalf of governments and other bodies that regularly put services out to tender. Walter often conducts proceedings such as summary proceedings to obtain in function relief. Walter gives seminars on his areas of specialty for bodies such as the IURA ACTUA – the permanent education program of Van Benthem & Keulen for in-house counsels, and for the Dutch Association of Purchase Management (NEVI). Additionally, he regularly publishes his opinions in the magazine “Recht toe, Recht aan.” Walter is also a member of the Dutch Association of Procurement Lawyers (NVvA) and a governing board member of the Utrecht District Lawyers Training Foundation.
